An Intimate Mountie
No sooner does RCMP Corporal Alexandra Houston get engaged than she and her fiancée are invited to a family funeral and reunion at a lodge on Canada’s Cape Breton Island. While there, Alex learns about an ancient family curse, experiences some suspicious events, and hears about still others from family members. Following a near-death experience, she begins investigating in earnest. When one of the lodge staff is found murdered, she has to move quickly if she is to find the key to the string of strange occurrences, and identify the killer, before another murder takes place.
